Ours is a proud mid-grown tea that produces some very unique infusions; The Peermade/Vandiperiyar region is an age old planting district and a pioneer in the history of tea plantations in Kerala. Tea liquors of this region are known for their rich colour, brisk malty flavour and their superbly balanced body. Ideal for blending and very highly sought after both in the domestic as well as international markets.
As fourth generation growers, we are deeply committed to the sustainability of our agricultural practices. Our tea gardens are Rainforest Alliance certified. We invest heavily in water conservation and soil management practices to improve productivity and maintain the quality of our green leaf.
We do intake a small quantity of bought leaf from select local vendors to whom we pay a very generous premium.
